Advancement Paths
Structured Advancement Paths
The Enchanted Moon magickal craft line was founded in 2009 and offers structured, guided training through a series of paths based on the classical elements. This training has only previously been available to people via our covens. However, we are now delighted to offer entry and advancement via the academy.
Many of you will have been yearning to find a way in which you can learn and grow with the help and guidance of a reliable mentor or group, but perhaps not been able to find one due to any number of reasons.
On-line training often fails to fulfil the same education, guidance and structured advancement opportunities that a good group or coven can provide, which is why we have spent many years developing a system that perfectly fits the needs of those seeking an alternative to in person training. Created to be easy to access and follow, building your knowledge and abilities step-by-step with the support of a personal mentor and other members of our established priesthood, as well as allowing the flexibility to work through the lessons in your own time, and at you own pace from the comfort of your home.
What's more, we have ensured that this offer is affordable, whilst still being one of the most enjoyable, in-depth and well rounded training and advancement systems you will come across.
The Enchanted Moon Tradition
To become part of our Enchanted Moon magical family is to become part of an established, vibrant and rich tradition. We teach a form of modern witchcraft that would be best described as eclectic, as we have drawn on many sources of inspiration and insight to develop our own unique form of the Craft.
We are progressive in our outlook, landing on a way to teach and practice the Craft that is sympathetic and inclusive to everyone - you are free to hold your own beliefs and explore your own ways whilst still feeling supported and part of something bigger. Our priesthood and members identify themselves as follow any number of Pagan, spiritual and magickal paths, including: druids, ceremonial magicians, healers, Wiccans, New Age adherents, Green Witches, followers of the Norse path and so forth.
OUR AIMS
Spirituality - we recognise that each individual has their own unique spiritual path, and therefore, do not try to force, or coerce others into thinking or believing that there is a certain set way of approaching the Craft. Instead we try to nurture others to find and develop their own ideas through exploring a wide range of different teachings and practices.
Support & Confidentiality - we provide a safe, secure and nurturing environment in which everyone can learn, practice, explore and grow. For example, we will never share your personal details and information with others outside of our tradition.
Sharing Knowledge - "We are all students, but we are all teachers too". Every voice in the circle is valued, and knowledge and wisdom is encouraged to be shared. We run various projects to help educate and support the Pagan community.
Teaching & Advancement - we provide a well structured, stimulating and broad programme of study. Members advance through a series of grades called 'Paths'. The lessons have been designed to give each individual a well-rounded and thorough knowledge of Craft history, teachings, practises, skills and beliefs.
Ritual - performing and taking part in regular rituals helps us connect with nature and the spiritual realms. It is a balm to the soul and an integral part of our spiritual practices.
Magick - we work magick for healing; self-improvement; spiritual growth; wisdom; guidance; happiness and for all other positive ends.
The Paths
The training is provided via a course of easy to follow lessons delivered online. The training is thorough and requires time, study and practical application. It includes coursework to be completed and submitted for grading and feedback, therefore enabling us to monitor and guide your progress so that you can advance through the grades. You will be fully supported throughout your training by a member of our high priesthood with additional input and help from other members of our tradition.
The advancement paths are named after the Classical Elements: Earth, Fire, Air, Water and Spirit. This corresponds to the points of the symbol of our faith, the Pentagram.
The Path of Earth – the first of the five paths is named after the Element of foundation, roots, stability and strength. It contains the knowledge and skills that are essential for having a firm foundation on which to build future progress. The course consists of 12 lessons and is designed to be completed at the rate of one a month, however, those that need more time are welcome to take it. This is the path of the 'Dedicant,' someone who has undertaken an oath to themselves to spend at least a year-and-a-day committed to the serious studying of witchcraft and Pagan ways.

The Path of Fire - Fire is the path of action, courage, passion, drive and transformation. This path covers the essential knowledge and skills one needs to master in order to navigate their path as a priest/priestess of our Craft line. It is made up of 24 lessons and includes: planning and creating rituals, spells, divination, healing and creating a personal practice, amongst other things.

The Path of Air – Air is the Element that rules the intellect and mind, of teaching and expansion. In order to broaden their knowledge and expand their repertoire, those on the Path of Air are given the freedom to choose from a series of mastery streams: Magician, Healer or Divination, which lead to gaining the title of Master or Mistress of their chosen art(s). They are also encouraged to share their love of the Craft by supporting others through acting as TA's on the academies courses.
The Path of Water – The Element of emotions, intuition, deeper yearnings and the need to nurture and bring things to birth. This is a specialist path for those that wish to lead their own coven or similar group. Such members of our High Priesthood actively mentor and teach others, create learning opportunities and may take responsibility for the day-to-day business and running of a coven - all of which requires a whole new bunch of skills and knowledge, such as counselling, effective communication, working to schedules, conflict resolution and much, much more, all whilst continuing to expand their own knowledge and master new magickal techniques. The Path of Water leads our High Priesthood through the journey of coven conception, the training and Initiation of others, right through to preparing others to hive off and form their own covens.
The Path of Spirit - The honour of holding the title of Elder is reserved for those that have provided exceptional levels of commitment and service to the Craft and our Craft line. As well as heading their own coven or similar group, they will have acted as mentor and guide to others who have hived off to form their own groups, or taken on a mentoring role. Elders may choose to continue to run their own coven/group, or simply act as wise council and arbitrator for others of the Pagan community and Enchanted Moon line.
The paths are progressional, and students must have completed all of the required coursework, to the required level, before moving on to the next. Click here to begin your journey!
