Step into the art of contained magick and discover how jars, bottles, and vessels can hold not only herbs and charms—but focused intention, sacred energy, and deep personal power.

In this immersive, experiential course, you’ll explore the ancient and cross-cultural practice of using sealed containers for magickal workings. From protection bottles and love spells to manifestation jars and bindings, you’ll learn how to craft powerful, beautiful, and deeply personalised spells using the wisdom of folk traditions and the clarity of your own spirit.

Taught by High Priest Phoenix Moon, this course weaves together history, symbolism, energetic theory, and hands-on crafting, offering both mystical insight and practical guidance. Along the way, you’ll create your own magickal vessels, develop ritual techniques for sealing and activation, and receive gentle mentorship as you deepen your relationship with this sacred form of spellwork.

With engaging lessons, visual prompts, practical assignments, and guided reflection, this course is designed for both new and experienced witches, magick or folk practitioners, and spiritual seekers.

Whether you're new to spellwork or looking to refine your technique, this course invites you to honour your craft and shape your magick—one sacred vessel at a time.

✨ By the end of the course, students will: 

• Understand the historical, cultural, and magickal roots of spell jars and bottle magick

• Identify and apply the principles of intention-setting and energetic containment

• Construct spell jars with care, layering ingredients for energetic harmony and visual symbolism

• Employ various sealing methods (e.g. wax, thread, charms) and incorporate invocations or affirmations

• Craft focused spell jars for protection, love, attraction, abundance, binding, and more

• Activate, maintain, and, when necessary, safely dispose of spell jars with ritual intention

• Develop a personal approach to working with contained magick in alignment with their wider spiritual path

• Jars, bottles & containers - a small selection of various sizes and shapes.

• Dried herbs or flowers, stones or crystals, salt
  spices and kitchen staples.

• Paper and pen for written petitions or affirmations

• String, thread, or ribbon, charms, buttons, coins, or small found objects (for symbolic layering)

• Candle wax or a small candle (for sealing jars if desired.

• Optional: Ink stamps, sigils, pressed flowers, or personal tokens

• A notebook or grimoire for spell records, ingredients, and reflections

Note:

• Many items can be repurposed or found around the home. Feel free to substitute ingredients based on availability, tradition, or intuition

📝 Coursework & Submissions

This course includes a variety of thoughtfully crafted assignments to help you integrate and apply what you’ve learned.
Assignments are submitted through the Canvas platform and are evaluated based on:

• Creativity and originality

• Understanding of the material
